Forrest Project

Freedom had the honour of being involved in this renovation project in one of Canberra's most sought-after suburbs. The home, built in the early 1900s and heritage listed, presented some challenges. However, working closely with the interior design firm Capezio and Copeland, we created a beautiful French Provincial style renovation that paid homage to the home's history. Witnessing the end result of this project was incredibly satisfying and fulfilling.

BRIEF

Heritage rules and regulations can always be challenging to work around. Our aim with this project was to refreshen the space from being run down, although not take away from the history of the home. We incorporated traditional building methods with wainscoting the walls and keeping a French provincial theme running throughout the home which did not take away from its true beauty. A fun fact about this home was finding out that this was Ricky Stuart's (NRL player and now Canberra Raiders Coach) first home.
