We use sustainable building practices to minimise the environmental impact, in every project. We recycle almost every piece of material when taking down an existing home, and we choose to utilise recycled products where possible throughout the entire design and construct process.
We keep natural materials exposed wherever possible to reduce the total embodied energy and ultimately the carbon footprint impact on each project.

MEET MARK
Founding Director Mark Cole brings both a strong design aesthetic, and has a strong understanding of the building industry.
Mark is a carpenter by trade completing his Certificate 3 in carpentry in 2012. In 2016 Mark completed his Diploma in Building and Construction which lead to him receiving his C Class Builders Licence. Freedom Built started out with small subcontract carpentry projects, which assisted Freedom Built to grow into the business it is today.
Mark has worked in many aspects of property development, from design through to construction on a variety of projects. Freedom Built prides itself on being one of Canberra’s most friendly and supportive builders that specialises in transforming your home.

If you're thinking about doing a knock-down rebuild, we totally get that you want to know what the costs will be before you dive in headfirst. It can be tough to give you an exact estimate without seeing detailed building plans, site complexities and inclusions, therefore we recommend working with a professional builder right from the start. We have a really experienced team who can give you accurate cost estimates at every stage of the design process.

Here at Freedom Built, we want to make sure that our projects are done right, without breaking the bank or taking forever to complete. That's why we limit the number of projects we take on each year and focus on delivering high-quality results.
We understand the importance of timely delivery and go above and beyond to ensure that our clients can move into their new homes as soon as possible. With our tried and tested process, we estimate that a 250m2 family home can be built between 24-38 weeks, depending on the land complexities and build design.
Our team is proud of the work we do and the process we have developed and we are confident that our clients will be thrilled with the outcome of their projects.

Absolutely! You will have regular site visits with your project manager. In case you need to visit the site outside of regular meetings, please don't hesitate to contact us, and we'll schedule a walk-through at a time that best suits your schedule.
Safety is our top priority, and we take great care to maintain a safe work environment for our staff, contractors, and homeowners. Therefore, we kindly request that you be accompanied by a Freedom Built representative during your visit.
We understand how important it is to keep track of the project's progress, and we'll do everything we can to meet your needs while ensuring a safe workplace for everyone involved.

Of course, it's definitely possible to make changes at this stage. However, we just want to make sure you're aware that any modifications may result in additional costs. Plus, some changes might need approval from the council, which could impact the budget as well as time frames. So, it's super important to let us know about any special requests before signing a contract. That way, we can avoid any unexpected surprises during construction.
We totally get that you might change your mind about certain details, and we're here to help! Our builders are flexible and can suggest cost-effective solutions to make sure you're happy with the final result.
